Welcome to another photo story. This time we are taking you along on a hike around the Arne RSPB Reserve. Visiting Arne has been very high on on our list of hikes to do around the South West but we had not yet gotten around to going there.
A couple of weekends ago we did however take the quick 30 minute ride from Poole and pulled up in the RSPB car park. For a fiver we could stay until dusk and explore as much as we wanted to. The RSPB staff provided us with a map and we decided to start by walking the longest loop – a very casual two hour walk.
When we returned we felt like we hadn’t quite seen enough so we ended up turning back and doing another smaller loop.
Arne is absolutely beautiful. Especially, if you want to come bird and wildlife watching. Pack some binoculars or rent them and make this an afternoon or day out if you get the chance. It’s been wonderful to see everything so lush and green but we plan to come back again in Autumn as well as I imagine the heather would look beautiful then.
I’ll let the pictures do the talking and hope you enjoy. If you haven’t been to Arne but are in the area do check this place out. And if you have but have other recommendations do leave them in a comment below!
