August Favourites

August-Favourites.jpg

I'm really excited to share what we've been loving this August. Let's jump right in!

Weleda Almond Soothing Facial Lotion. My skincare routine is pretty minimalistic. I have a balm to take of make up, a cleansing lotion for every day, and a toner as a second step or for a light cleanse. This is my product of choice for every day, when I don't wear make up and just want to feel refreshed and relaxed. The scent is subtle and fades quickly but my skin always feel soft and nourished after I use it.

Best of Lonely Planet travel guide. Lonely Planets are my favourite travel guides. They are well researched and are perfect both to prepare for a trip and to take along. So far, we only ever got the city or country guides but the Best of series was perfect for one leg of our next trip. As opposed to the standard city and country guides these combine itinerary suggestions with selected in-depth recommendations. They also have the prettiest covers of any Lonely Planet guides. You can find the Malaysia & Singapore guide here.

Union coffee. We have a coffee ritual and I absolutely love it. We always grind fresh beans and make sure to prepare it well. In the mornings we lean towards using a Chemex, on the weekends we might kickstart the day with Espresso instead. Just like we vary the preparation method we also like to test different beans. Our current favourites are Union Roasted beans. We've got a couple of house blends like Natural Spirit but also some single origin coffee. Each one of them is unique, each is delicious.

By the way, Union offer subscriptions, a try before you buy program and some great flavour discovery sets that even come with a little handy guide.

GOBE polarizing filter. Filters were absolutely foreign to me up until a little while ago and I am still learning all about them. When I got my first one - a polarizing filter - GOBE stood out as a brand because of how ethical they are. For every purchase they will plant trees - that's over a quarter of a million to date. The polarizing filter was a great starting point and is very well made. This is a photo I took with it, for example. If you are in the market for camera filters (or even SD cards), I recommend you give GOBE a shot. This is the filter I am using.

I hope you find something above that you love too! I'd love to hear what your recent favourites were. P.S. Come along this way to see my July Favourites.
