BOOK HAUL: NOVEMBER 2015
I don't know how to define my taste in books because I read a little bit of everything really. I guess, I like to try myself out. On my last trip to Waterstones I picked up these covers:
Ernest Hemingway: The Old Man and the Sea
I guess, there is a little story behind this book. On our recent trip to Budapest we went to the KönyvBár (Book Bar), a lovely restaurant that offers a book themed menu. When we were there the theme of the week was The Old Man and the Sea. Think: marlin soup, shark steak, sea salt caramel cake... It was absolutely delicious. But I hadn't read the book. So now I will!
Goodreads rating: 3.67
Paul Torday: Salmon Fishing in the Yemen
Sticking with the theme of fish, eh? This was just a random pick. I saw the title on the shelves as I was browsing the aisles and just picked it up.
Goodreads rating: 3.48
Jonas Jonasson: The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared
Is this the longest ever book title or is this the longest ever book title? I used to own a paperback copy of this book and gave it to everyone I could think of. Until, unfortunately, someone poured a cup of coffee over it. I read this book already but it's one of my favourite books of all times probably so I had to pick it up again when I saw this special edition hard back on the shelves. This book is fantastic!
Goodreads rating: 3.79
