Happy first of November! I'm loving how it's suddenly gotten much colder outside. It's really started feeling Autumnal here and I can't wait for Winter to start. But before we dive deep into November - the month we are going on holiday - I've got my October Favourites to share with you all!
Candles. Most evenings, now that it gets dark much earlier, we light some candles around the flat and cozy up on the sofa. After a long day of work and play, nothing is better than drinking a hot cup of tea, watching a show (there's so much for us to catch up on, on Netflix) and catching up on each other's days.
Illustrating and Hand lettering. Something about the colder months always makes me want to stay indoors and make pretty things. Every year I try to decorate Christmas gifts in a new, thoughtful way, I like to bake sweet treats, or knit. This year, I've gotten into illustrating and hand lettering.
Cycling. I was going back and forth between saying cycling socks, my MAAP winter kit, cycling gear, or just cycling in general. As you can tell, I'm loving it. Above you can see my new socks which perfectly match my long sleeved jersey. On my last ride I realised that I should probably also get some gloves and a hat if I want to continue riding outside throughout Winter.
Mysore Yoga. Remember how I got back into Yoga? I've tried a bunch of classes: a led Ashtanga class (my favourite), a Vinyasa Krama (not quite my cup of tea), and, most recently, Mysore style self practice. I have to admit I was a bit scared going into the class. I know some of the primary series but didn't think I would remember it all. For those of you who might not know, in self practice you get to practice regular Ashtanga Yoga in a class setting but on your own. Your pace, your level of difficulty. When you're done, you can go. One or more teachers are there to help everyone, no matter what level the student is at.
And that's it for my September favourites! Let me know what you've been loving recently. And stay tuned for a holiday themed edition of November favourites in about a month.
P.S. Last month's favourites.
